Mentoring Map

Project Point Five Inc. operates four core initiatives with various programs to address four target populations: at-risk youth, returning citizens, vulnerable veterans recently separated from active duty service, and community volunteers passionate about social, racial, and economic justice. These initiatives focus predominantly on marginalized men due to a lack of comparable resources currently prioritized for women and children.

River City YouthBuild is dedicated to unleashing young people's intelligence and positive energy to transform their lives and rebuild their communities. As an affiliate of an incredible nationwide network, our program provides opportunity youth the pathways to redefine their lives through educational, professional, and leadership development.

The Triangle Literacy Council’s Mission is to advance and support academic, economic, and life success for children, youth, and adults facing barriers to success through multi-faceted literacy education and life skills training. We have a Vision that those in our community are equipped to thrive and excel through literacy training and workforce development opportunities.

We Believe that a foundation of functional literacy is necessary to survive and thrive in society. We strive to help build a world in which fulfillment of individual potential leads to personal satisfaction and achievement; sustainable independence; and individual, family and community wellness.

Wasla means "to connect," and our approach is threefold:

1. Mentorship Program: 3-month mentorship pairs participants with experienced tech professionals for personalized mentorship and guidance.
2. Soft Skills Training: Live training sessions designed to enhance essential career and job readiness skills.
3. Live in-person and remote university courses aimed at bridging skill gaps and empowering displaced Palestinians with the knowledge needed to excel in the tech sector.

We aim to create opportunities for growth, resilience, and success by bridging the gap between displaced communities and the tech industry.
