One of the best ways to take action is to donate. Learn how you can support Youth Mentoring Collaborative and youth of the Carolinas.

Looking to make a donation?

The Youth Mentoring Collaborative believes that every organization should have access to quality consulting services. For many of the partners we work with throughout the Carolinas, there is a financial barrier to being able to access these much-needed services.

Your financial contributions ensure that we can provide free consulting to organizations that need us most.

More than 75% of our current partners are local grassroots movements that don't have the capacity to work on their organizations and this is where our work comes in! Through free consulting services, we are often providing critical support that builds our partners' capacity to meet their mission and run quality programming. From program planning and design to program evaluation and operations, the research shows that when a program can strengthen those key areas, it leads to better outcomes for the youth they serve.

Gift Acceptance Policy

Youth Mentoring Collaborative strives to embody its mission, vision, and values in all organizational activities, including how to solicit and/or accept gifts. The YMC team will consider the following guiding questions in its decision-making process:

  • Does acceptance of the gift compromise any of our core values?
  • Is there compatibility between the intent of the donor and our current organizational priorities?
  • Will acceptance of the gift damage our reputation?
  • Does the gift primarily benefit our organization versus the donor?
  • Is the gift offered in a form we can use without incurring substantial expense or difficulty?
  • Will the gift encourage or discourage future gifts?

The President & CEO will collaborate with the YMC team to make all decisions to solicit and/or accept potentially controversial gifts in consultation with the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.

The primary consideration will be the impact of the gift on the youth, families, and mentoring programs connected with our organization.
